From connecting with college and trade school representatives to exploring scholarships, financial aid, and military opportunities, students and families had the chance to ask questions, gather resources, and start mapping out what life after high school could look like.

200+ handwritten notes. For National Be a Teacher Day, EFHS students took time to put pen to paper and tell their teachers what they mean to them. Thank-yous, memories, “you’re the reason I like this class,” and so much more. In a world of quick texts, there’s nothing like a note you can keep in your desk drawer for the hard days.
Yesterday our future educators spent National Be a Teacher Day where it counts: in classrooms! The EFHS Education Professions students teamed up with students at Westar Elementary for their STEAM buddy day! Watching them guide students, ask great questions, and cheer on every kid reminds us exactly why this pathway matters.

EFHS Education Professions has partnered with the Arizona Educational Foundation's teachSTEM program! The students are learning from a master STEM educator how to bring hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math lessons into their future classrooms. Today's Ed Pro students could be tomorrow's STEM teachers!
For our first lesson, students used Makey Makey kits to design and build accessible game pads, learning how STEM can make play possible for every learner.

From designing to building to testing, they’re learning that sometimes the best way to understand science is to get hands-on and put it to the test! 💡🥚
